Willing to submit a criminal background check; Financially and physically stable; Able to meet demands of children on a 24-hour basis

Application process
(1) Call or email an LCFS office site to schedule a meeting or for more information. Can also attend a local informational meeting: https://www.lcfs.org/events/ (2) An LCFS licensing representative will visit you in your home (3) Complete application paperwork: (a) Fingerprinting will be required of all individuals 18 years or older in the home (b) All individuals in home required to receive a physical examination by a doctor (4) Attend and complete 39 hours of PRIDE training (5) Complete Licensing Assessment (6) Complete final walk-through of home with LCFS representative (7) License will be issued, and your name will be added as an available foster home.
