Angel of God Resource Center, Inc. (AOGRC) Apprenticeship Expansion Program is centered on supporting both businesses and individuals. Expanding apprenticeships helps businesses address their current and future workforce needs, as well as individuals with a career pathway that includes work-based learning. This section outlines key elements of the program design. Apprenticeships are a cost-effective way for employers to maintain the optimal staffing level to meet their goals. Apprentices can launch a solid career and develop their skills without incurring substantial college debt. Apprenticeships have been traditionally associated with construction and the trades; however, apprenticeship programs are now within a variety of industries, including some 'non-traditional' apprenticeship industries such as healthcare, IT, advanced manufacturing, banking, insurance, transportation, distribution, and logistics (TDL).
