Provides information and financial assistance for people and small businesses affected by disasters. Financial assistance is only available for losses not covered by insurance. Assistance is also only available in an area where a disaster, declared by the President of the United States, occurred. If a disaster is federally declared, FEMA may provide financial assistance for:
  • Necessary home repairs
  • Emergency assistance for mortgage and rent
  • Home replacement
  • Medical and dental services
  • Funeral services
  • Transportation, moving, and storage services
