Offers the following tax exemptions to veterans:
Disabled Veterans Exemption:
Veteran, veteran's spouse, or unmarried surviving spouse is exempt from property taxes. Offers up to $100,000 of the equalized assessed value of the home's equity.
Returning Veterans Exemption:
Lowers the equalized assessed value of the residence by $5,000 for two consecutive tax years. Includes the tax year and the following year that the veteran returns from active duty. Must have owned the home on January 1 of the tax year.
Standard Exemption for Veterans with Disabilities:
Provides a reduction in assessed value of residence occupied by a veteran with a disability, or the veteran's surviving spouse.
