Application process
Complete a housing assessment with "Coordinated Entry" if you are not in a shelter or connected to an agency that provides support like a drop-in center (15-30 mins). If you are, skip Step 1. Call the Coordinated Entry Call Center at (312) 361-1707 to complete a housing assessment. Then Apply to CHA's Project Based Housing Voucher or "PBV" at www.applyonline.thecha.org. IMPORTANT: For a CHA PBV, you must select that you are a 2-PERSON HOUSEHOLD in order to see and select NEW MOMS.

New Moms Housing program offers transitional and permanent supportive housing to homeless young families, providing the time and space they need to develop key life skills around health, parenting, and financial literacy and the confidence they need to build a home.Chicago Housing is for 24 months, and Oak Park is permanent supportive housing.New Moms does not take direct applications for their housing programs and does not maintain a site-based waitlist. They work with external partners to fill their units. Family must completethe Coordinated Entry Assessment by calling (312) 971-4178 and apply on CHA website.

New Moms offers a range of holistic family supports including community-based doula services, education, and intervention on child health and development, and parent coaching - with a primary goal to support the emotional and spiritual growth of young moms as they become their children's first, best teachers.
