Greater Grand Crossing Restorative Network (GGCRN) Street Outreach Workers play a vital role in promoting safety in Greater Grand Crossing by de-escalating emerging conflicts through restorative dialogue and non-judgmental support. The Street Outreach team consists of credible messengers, trained in crisis intervention, who are known and respected in the community and have a deep understanding of the dynamics of interpersonal violence. By identifying and developing relationships with those at the highest risk for either experiencing or perpetrating violence, their outreach team works to guide youth and young adults toward constructive activities and positive community engagement.
