UI Health's Mile Square Health Center helps households complete applications for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) supplemental nutrition assistance program. The WIC program provides healthy eating classes, breastfeeding support, and food vouchers to eligible caregivers and pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. In order to be eligible for this program, households must meet income guidelines and also be at nutritional risk as determined by a health professional.
