Community Nutrition Network & Senior Services Association - Franklin Park Community Café & Leyden Township Meals on Wheels provides a community-focused meal to foster social connection.

Nutritious meals are delivered to the home for people who are either temporarily or permanently unable to manage meal preparation and access food. Once enrolled, individuals receive hot meals throughout the week that meet strict dietary needs, which may include: diabetic, diverticulitis and mechanical soft diets.

Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) provides services to individuals with severe disabilities so they can remain in their homes and be as independent as possible. Customers may hire their own PAs to assist in their homes, based on the service plan they have jointly developed with their DRS rehabilitation counselor. Specialized services for people with HIV/AIDS and/or traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are also provided.

Vineyard Church of Elgin hosts a weekly free dinner and Bible Study group for the community.

This hot meal program is operated in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Village of Forest Park Howard Mohr Community Center provides activities for all Village residents while paying special attention to young children and senior citizens. Support services include a food pantry for temporary emergency relief for residents and Meals on Wheels for residents of any age based on a needs assessment. The Community Center is the home base for many senior activities with day trips scheduled out of the Center every week.

Home-Delivered Meals program ensures that isolated older adults can enjoy healthy, nutritious food in their homes. NSSC provides assessments to determine need, makes referrals to meal providers, and monitors the program's effectiveness.

Uptown Baptist Church hosts a community dinner every other Monday for food-insecure members of the community.

Village of Crestwood Biela Senior Center offers adults, over the age of 50, many opportunities that promote independence with a wide variety of activities. Some of the events that take place are Senior Club, fitness and yoga classes, day trips, Bingo, lunches, Knit Wits, line dance, and more. Groups also meet to play pinochle, Mexican Train, and Bunco. Transportation to and from the senior center is available through the Dial-A-Ride program.

The TummyT nutrition program supports home-based, family child care providers caring for children ages 0 to 13 years. With the support of Illinois's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), eligible providers can receive monthly meal and snack reimbursements, nutrition training and guidance, in-home training and support from a TummyT program advisor and other valuable information and resources in both English and Spanish.

Metropolitan Asian Family Services (MAFS) provides nutritionally balanced lunches along with an opportunity for seniors to make friends and socialize to break free from isolation. These meals are freshly prepared by trained cooks under strict hygienic conditions. Meals are available for delivery to participants as well.

Epiphany United Church of Christ distributes a hot, nutritious meal along with beverages to anyone in need.
