Jewish seniors who are home-bound or in nursing homes are visited on a regular basis, and rides are provided to ensure they get to doctors’ appointments, pick up prescription medicine, and/or go grocery shopping.  During Jewish holidays, the Federation provides programming to nursing homes around the area.  Companionship and socialization is a priority with the Senior Program.

Village of Forest Park Howard Mohr Community Center provides activities for all Village residents while paying special attention to young children and senior citizens. Support services include a food pantry for temporary emergency relief for residents and Meals on Wheels for residents of any age based on a needs assessment. The Community Center is the home base for many senior activities with day trips scheduled out of the Center every week.
