The sessions are structured to be a "no-judgment zone" where participants can feel safe. The program's objective is to cultivate resilience, enhance social-emotional health, and significantly reduce suicide risk for veterans and first responders.

Creative Therapies complement traditional talk therapy since many youths find it easier to express their trauma in a way that engages more than just speech. This allows youth in DCFS care to tap into their creative sides while clinical therapists provide individualized treatment, allowing the youth to explore their feelings, manage behaviors, reduce anxiety, and increase self-esteem.
