Bloom Township provides snow removal for disabled residents. The season runs from November to March and snow is removed by an independent contractor, hired by Bloom Township, after a 3-inch snowfall. This program does not include any salt spreading or other chemicals to remove ice. Service is based on the removal of snow from the driveway. Properties without an attached garage require a pathway to be cleared from the house to the driveway or garage (whichever is deemed more feasible). This will be done for a $5 fee. For payment of fees and co-pays, a monthly bill will be sent to the resident.

City of Chicago's select ward offices will act as an SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center to support residents in accessing U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) assistance. The SBA disaster declaration will allow homeowners, renters, businesses, and certain nonprofit organizations in Cook County and across northeastern Illinois to apply for low-interest disaster loans to support recovery efforts. This includes loans of up to $500,000 for real estate repairs, up to $100,000 for personal property and up to $2 million for businesses for physical damages. Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are also available to eligible small businesses and nonprofits experiencing financial losses as a result of the storms. The Crisis Nursery protects their children, from birth to age six, from abuse, neglect, or trauma.Children receive round-the-clock child care for up to 72 hours for each stay. This safe and nurturing environment is designed to protect them from harmful experiences and the damaging effects of trauma. Issues that bring families to the Maryville Crisis Nursery include unemployment, parental illness or hospitalization, poverty, and homelessness.
