Provides financial and support services to Veteran families. The program is a housing stability-focused service delivery program that serves veteran families that are homeless or imminently at-risk of being homeless. The goal is to stabilize these families in housing, while providing on-going support as needed to sustain independent living.
Services may include:
- Rental and utility deposits
- Limited rental and utility assistance
- Limited moving costs and emergency supplies
- Case management services
- Transportation assistance
- Information and referrals to community resources
- Assistance in obtaining VA benefits
- Assistance in obtaining and securing other public benefits
- Assistance in securing permanent housing.
Helps veterans and their family members apply for state, federal, and other benefits. Available at no cost to veterans or their families.
Services include:
- Reviewing service records and determining benefit eligibility for veterans, spouses, and dependents.
- Assisting with the accurate completion of forms.
- Transmitting completed claims to the proper state or federal officials.
- Assisting and managing both initial appeals and appeals to the Board of Veterans Affairs.
- Advising applicants with claims before the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs, including developing accurate disability claims, following VA’s requirements to assist claimants with developing claims, assisting with scheduling Compensation and Pension examinations, explaining VA Disability rating criteria, and facilitating correspondence between VA and veteran claimant.
Assists with clothing (children and some men's), bus cards, food, hygiene essentials, household items (cannot deliver large items), and occasionally gas cards, etc.
Located on the upstairs level of the church building.
Provides a food pantry for individuals in need. Individuals may visit the pantry once a week. Pre-orders can be placed ahead for pick-up. Delivery services may be available within Lisbon and Mount Vernon.
Offers limited English language classes for those within the South Sudanese community.
Veterans are assisted with obtaining medical treatment at VA hospitals, pensions, compensation benefits, burial allowance, document processing, food, rent, utilities, and life skills. The agency also works closely with other service agencies who, at times, will share cost of assistance to veterans.
Provides a Medicare-certified nursing facility that serves the elderly population and individuals with Alzheimer's disease. The facility includes a Senior Housing Unit with services on the campus and offers rehabilitation services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
A Home Care Agency is available to support individuals in their residences. The facility features a new unit with 20 private rooms that are Medicare-certified for post-acute care with rehabilitation services, as well as a program for short-term rehabilitation.
Additional services include errand running and shopping assistance for individuals who are unable or prefer not to perform these tasks themselves, and homemaker assistance, which provides trained professionals to help with routine household activities such as meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, and general household management.
Provides family and sleep medicine, inpatient mental health services, and pulmonology, stroke care, and mammogram services.
All locations offer a wellness floor with cardio and weight equipment and wellness staff to assist. Most locations offer a range of group-exercise classes (high intensity, challenging, low impact, chair-assisted, fall prevention), active older adult and youth programs, open swim and lap times, swim lessons (including adaptive and adult), open gymnasium hours, pickleball, child watch, youth sports, and summer day camp.

- The Buena Vista YMCA Express is a co-op project in conjunction with Omaha Public Schools, located on the Buena Vista High School campus. It includes a unique wellness floor featuring eGYM and MX4 equipment. This location is a wellness-only 14+ facility.
- The Westview YMCA offers youth sports and sports camps, a splash pad, and it is attached to Omaha Public School’s Westview High School. Visit other locations to learn more about summer day camp opportunities.
- The YMCA Healthy Living Center is an adult-only location designed for individuals 30+, with a therapeutic warm-water pool and a wider variety of low impact classes and equipment as well as social clubs and activities geared toward active older adults.
- The Charles E. Lakin YMCA offers eSports.
- The Butler-Gast YMCA and Downtown YMCA locations accept registrations for youth sports and host practices and games in collaboration with the Maple Street YMCA.
- The Gretna Crossing YMCA has eGYM equipment and a splash pad. It is part of the Gretna Crossing Park that offers trails, disc golf course, and a water park.
- The Blair Family YMCA offers a fitness center, pool, and many activities for youth and adults regardless of ability to pay.
Offers CPR, AED, and First Aid Training for use on adults, children and infants.
Offers internal medicine, pediatrics, general health care services, as well as ancillary services including laboratory, x-ray, pharmacy, nutrition, mental health counseling, health education and translation services.
