SchoolConnect matches elementary school students in Kindergarted through 5th grade with a mentor from area high schools and colleges. Matches are encouraged to be creative together and do activities that they both enjoy with an emphasis on enhancing communication and social skills. MentoringWorks provides games, craft supplies, books and STEM activities for matches at each elementary school. CareerConnect focuses on developing career interest within sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school and also building an employment pipeline within the community. Participants shadow a mentor in the career field of their choosing to establish new contacts, employment skills and potential employment. All services provided at no cost.

Staff aim to empower people with disabilities to assess their needs, identify potential risks, establish their own goals, evaluate available resources, and develop and implement a strategy to take control of their lives.

Created so that eligible children and adults who have a disability could obtain legal advice and representation to protect and enforce their rights guaranteed by Illinois' mental health laws. Attorneys provide needed assistance to persons with disabilities in a variety of settings:
- Mental health facilities.
- Residential programs.
- Community placements.
- Nursing homes.
Issues addressed include, but are not limited to: admission and discharge from hospitalization, adequate treatment, refusal of unwanted services, and confidentiality of mental health records. Assistance takes the form of information, referral, and legal representation in court hearings and administrative proceedings.

Title VI compliance official investigating, documenting all constituent reports of discrimination by StarTran, Lincoln's public transit services and other divisions that have contact with the public.
Administers the city's online service request reporting system, Acting with Citizens To Improve Our Neighborhoods (ACTION) Center, providing in-depth responses to concerns that become complex. People can find out about the laws that deal with their concern and report to the appropriate department any violations or problems they see in the community.

Offers voluntary programs to eligible landowners and agricultural producers to provide financial and technical assistance to help manage natural resources in a sustainable manner. Through these programs the agency approves contracts to provide financial assistance to help plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns or opportunities to help save energy, improve soil, water, plant, air, animal and related resources on agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest land, with emphasis on market stability and commodity pricing.
Works to train any audience on a wide range of disability awareness topics including (but not limited to) RAMP services, ADA Laws and Regulations, disability etiquette, awareness and sensitivity, and accessibility guidelines.
