The Red Cross is focusing the efforts of its coalition of organizations on installing smoke alarms in homes in some of the most fire-affected neighborhoods around the country. They are working with fire departments and community groups nationwide to canvass neighborhoods with home fire safety information, install smoke alarms and deliver fire prevention information in neighborhoods with high numbers of home fires.
