The State’s Attorney’s Office receives referrals from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (IDHFS) to provide free legal aid for child support enforcement. Accepts cases on the following types of matters: Obtaining legal paternity determinations (IDHFS is able to assist in locating a parent who does not reside with the child(ren)) Obtaining an order providing for child support and health insurance for minor children Seeking a modification of child support (by either parent) when legally warranted Enforcing child support orders that are not being complied with (including child support set in a dissolution proceeding)

Provides a rehabilitation program for veterans with mental illness, addictive disorders, or homelessness. Offers an 18-bed residential treatment facility that provides peer and professional support. Services include:

• Ongoing assessments and evaluations
• Personal finance assistance
• Case management to assist with securing stable housing in the community
• Life skills education and training
• Transportation to weekly recovery meetings in the community
• Weekly peer recovery, music therapy, and recreation groups
• Referrals to individual therapy and specialized group therapy
• Monthly meetings with nurse to develop and increase medication management skills
• Learning new stress reduction skills to promote problem-solving skills

Also offers the Compensated Work Therapy Program to develop and increase vocational skills.

Offers a faith-based sober-living home for adult men. Provides wrap-around services to help maintain sobriety and reach self-sufficiency. Participants can stay for as long as needed if working the program.

Registers vehicles in Illinois and licenses their drivers. Other major Secretary of State functions include: Recording ownership (certificate of title) of registered vehicles Maintaining driving records (accidents and convictions) of licensed drivers. Issuing identification cards for individuals. Registering and recording ownership of vessels. Licensing and regulating driving and traffic violator schools and their instructors. Also provides a service email for residents who have a driver’s license suspension or revocation or any other loss of driving privileges.

Offers discounted Metra fare tickets for grade school and high school students. May purchase a reduced price one-way, 10-ride, or monthly pass.

Offers activities and services for older adults in the community, including:

A designated location that provides relief from the cold and heat for at-risk citizens. Center does not offer provisions or care. Offers relief from the extreme weather conditions only.

Provides monthly financial assistance to help Township residents in need. Helps pay towards rent/mortgage, utilities, and medical expenses. Provides temporary aide while individual finds a job or waits for benefits approval.

Provides on-demand shuttle service within Fox Lake for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the general public.

Offers intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults and partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adolescents. Program includes daily lunch and transportation. Treats individuals with the following mental health disorders:
